Completion of Earthworks at the Black Diamond Site.
Soilwater are pleased to announce the completion of earthworks at the Black Diamond Site. This site was identified as one of the highest risk abandoned mine sites in Western Australia and was the first Pilot Project to be rehabilitated by the Department of Mines and Petroleum (DMP) as part of the Abandoned Mines Program. This project represents the first major spend from the Mining Rehabilitation Fund (MRF). As a result of the work completed by Soilwater, the significant public safety issues and ongoing erosion have been managed through remedial earthworks resulting in improved safety and stability at the Black Diamond Site, which allows the area to be utilised in a safe manner for the benefit of the entire community.
