SWA Geochemical Assessment
It was all hands on deck this week to complete a large geochemical assessment for a client. Under the supervision of our experienced lab team and our soils guru Adam Pratt (there isn’t anyone who knows this stuff better), the team all pitched in to get the job done.
It was great fun and these laboratory tests help clients design mines to be safe, stable, non-polluting and sustainable, but which are also highly productive and to meet the environmental standards required.
The results from the Soilwater developed Screen Testing Procedure, not only gives clients necessary information on baseline geochemical conditions and Acid and Metalliferous Drainage (AMD) risks at their site, they can also be used to establish the materials that are suitable for use in rehabilitation and the volume of these resources which is critical for the effective operation and closure of a mine.
This Screen Testing is rapid and cost effective, and can be completed during exploration drilling, well before planning, construction and operation of the mine occurs; hence it is the ideal planning tool.
